Refund Policy
Plain-language terms for when you get your money back, and how to ask.
Note: this page is a template/draft prepared for review and has not yet been checked by a qualified legal professional. Do not treat it as final or legally binding until it has been reviewed and approved.
This Refund Policy explains when DevPravas will refund your payment, re-perform your puja free of cost, or let you reschedule at no charge. It should be read together with our Our Promise commitments, which describe the checkable standards every booking is held to.
14-Day Prasad Delivery Guarantee
Every Aashirwad prasad box ships with a real courier tracking number, sent to you the day it dispatches. If your tracking shows the box has not been delivered within 14 days of your puja date, you are entitled to a full refund of the prasad delivery charge, no support ticket queue, no back-and-forth, and no dispute over a courier's "marked delivered" status if you tell us it never arrived. Simply reach out with your booking reference and we will process the refund.
48-Hour Trust Guarantee
If your live puja was not performed as promised, for example, the video was not live, your name or gotra was read incorrectly during sankalp, or the temple or ghat was not visible on camera, let us know within 48 hours of your puja and we will, at your choice:
- re-perform the puja in full, at no additional cost, at the next available slot; or
- refund your booking in full, including any add-ons paid for that puja.
Reports made after the 48-hour window will still be reviewed, but we can only guarantee the remedies above for reports made within it, since verifying what happened during a live event gets harder the longer we wait.
If You Need to Cancel
We understand plans change. Because your pandit's dakshina is committed and temple arrangements are booked ahead of time, refunds for devotee-initiated cancellations depend on how close to the scheduled slot you cancel:
- More than 48 hours before your slot: full refund.
- Between 48 and 12 hours before your slot: 50% refund.
- Less than 12 hours before your slot: no refund.
If you are not sure you can make it, rescheduling is almost always the better option, you can move your puja to a new date and time at no charge, any number of times, right up until the pandit begins sankalp preparations for your original slot. Cancellation forfeits arrangements already made on your behalf; rescheduling does not.
If DevPravas Needs to Cancel or Reschedule
Occasionally a puja cannot go ahead as booked, for instance, if your assigned pandit becomes unavailable or the temple restricts access on that date. When this happens on our side, it will never cost you anything: you may choose a full refund or a free reschedule to the next available slot that suits you, with no fees and no loss of any add-ons already purchased.
Festival Care Annual Plan
Festival Care is a pay-once, cancel-anytime annual plan covering a set of pujas across the year, it is not a recurring subscription. If you cancel partway through the year, we refund a pro-rated amount for the pujas in your plan that have not yet been performed and are still scheduled for the future. Pujas already performed, currently in progress, or scheduled within the next 48 hours are not included in the pro-rated calculation, consistent with the cancellation window above.
How Refunds Are Processed
All refunds are issued to the original payment method used at booking, we do not offer cash, wallet credit, or third-party transfers in place of this. Once a refund is approved, it typically reflects in your account within 5–10 business days, though your bank or card issuer's own processing time may add a few extra days on top of that.
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, report a puja issue, or ask about the status of a prasad delivery, reach us through our contact page or over WhatsApp with your booking reference handy. We aim to acknowledge every refund request within 24 hours.
