Ancestral rites for NRIs: Pitru Paksha 2026

Pitru Paksha 2026 runs from 27 September to 10 October. If you cannot travel, a Vedic priest can perform Pind Daan, Shraadh or Tarpan for your ancestors on the ghats of Gaya or Ujjain while you watch live from abroad, with your family's names and gotra in the sankalp. Pind Daan starts at ₹4,700.

NRI puja booking: common questions

Can NRIs book a puja in India online?

Yes. Choose a puja, a date and a time that suits your time zone. A verified pandit performs it at the temple or ghat in India while you watch live on video, with your name and gotra chanted, and prasad is delivered to your address abroad.

Which time zones do you support?

We offer evening and weekend slots for the USA (ET, CT, MT, PT), the UK, Canada and other regions. Your coordinator confirms the exact local time for your chosen slot before you book.

What currency is the puja charged in?

Bookings are priced and charged in Indian Rupees. Starting prices are listed for every puja, for example Rudrabhishek from ₹4,700 and Pind Daan from ₹4,700. Foreign-currency amounts on our country pages are an approximate guide only.

Can NRIs do Shraadh or Pind Daan from abroad?

Yes. Families abroad commonly have a pandit perform Shraadh, Pind Daan or Tarpan on their behalf while they join by live video. We perform these on the ghats of Gaya or Ujjain, with your ancestors' names and gotra in the sankalp.
