How your Griha Pravesh is performed
- 1
Your pandit joins the video call ahead of your chosen muhurat and confirms your kit, deity placement and Vastu Shanti materials are ready.
- 2
Ganesh puja and Navagraha puja are performed by your family, step-by-step, at the pandit's direction to remove obstacles and appease the planets.
- 3
Vastu Shanti mantras are chanted while the pandit walks you through purifying each direction and room of the home on camera.
- 4
At the auspicious moment, the pandit guides the head of the household to enter with the right foot first, carrying a kalash of water or milk, with a symbolic substitute in place of the traditional cow entry where a cow isn't practical.
- 5
Your family lights the first hearth or stove and places the idol or photo of your family deity, with the pandit verifying each action live before you move on.
- 6
The ceremony closes with aarti and a personalized blessing for your household, still live on camera.

Frequently asked
Do I need a pandit to physically come to my home?
No. Your Griha Pravesh is guided live, the pandit joins by video call and instructs your family through every step of the ceremony in real time, verifying each action before you move to the next.
What if I don't have access to a cow for the traditional entry ritual?
Your pandit will guide you through an accepted symbolic substitute for the cow entry, common for apartments and homes abroad, so the ceremony's meaning is preserved even where a live cow isn't practical.
I'm an NRI buying a home abroad or in India, can this work with time zones?
Yes, this is one of our most requested pujas among NRI families. We help you find an auspicious muhurat window that fits your calendar and time zone, so your pandit can guide the ceremony live wherever your new home is.
What do I need to arrange myself, and what's shipped to me?
Your sacred Griha Pravesh kit, kalash, mango leaves, coconut, kumkum, rice and a mantra booklet, is shipped to your address before the ceremony. You'll separately arrange milk or water for the kalash, your hearth or stove, and your family deity's idol or photo.
