Your puja, live from India, timed for American evenings
Mahakaleshwar and other major temples cap in-person darshan and book out months ahead, which makes flying home for a single ritual impractical for most working families. DevPravas sends a verified pandit to the temple on your behalf and streams the entire puja to you live, scheduled at a time that doesn't require anyone to stay up at 3am.
Why families across the US choose DevPravas
Evening & weekend US slots
Slots timed for ET, CT, MT and PT evenings and weekend mornings, no ritual that only makes sense at 3am India time.
USD pricing guidance
Every puja page shows an approximate USD figure alongside the actual INR price, so you know roughly what to expect before you book.
Prasad shipped to your US address
Your Aashirwad prasad box ships internationally with tracking, we handle the international customs paperwork so it isn't held up at the border.
English-fluent coordination
A dedicated coordinator confirms your name and gotra pronunciation in English before the day, so nothing is lost in translation.
Time zones we serve
India is 9.5–10.5 hours ahead of the continental US depending on the time of year and daylight saving in both countries. Rather than asking your family to join a puja in the middle of the night, we schedule around the temple's actual ritual hours to land on a US-friendly slot. Exact times are confirmed with you at booking.
| US time zone | Weekday evening slot | Weekend morning slot |
|---|---|---|
| Eastern (ET) | ~7:00–9:00 PM | ~9:00–11:00 AM |
| Central (CT) | ~6:00–8:00 PM | ~8:00–10:00 AM |
| Mountain (MT) | ~5:00–7:00 PM | ~7:00–9:00 AM |
| Pacific (PT) | ~4:00–6:00 PM | ~6:00–8:00 AM |
Weekday evening slots line up with the temple's early-morning mangala aarti hours in India; weekend morning US slots line up with the evening aarti, both without anyone waking up at 3am to watch.

Flying home for one ritual shouldn't be the only option
Mahakaleshwar's Rudrabhishek and Bhasma Aarti slots are managed by the temple trust, with booking windows opening months ahead and a hard cap of two devotees per ticket, long before most families can plan a trip around it, let alone book time off work. DevPravas exists for exactly this gap: our on-site pandits perform the ritual at the temple, and you watch it happen, live, from your living room.
"We'd just closed on our first house here and didn't want to skip the Griha Pravesh, but flying back to India wasn't happening with two kids in school. The 7pm Central slot worked perfectly, and my mother-in-law cried watching the pandit say our names live from Ujjain."

Frequently asked by families in the US
Will my prasad clear US customs?
Your Aashirwad box is packed and declared for international shipping, and we handle the customs paperwork on our end. Delivery timelines to US addresses are confirmed with you at booking, since they can vary by destination and by carrier.
Am I charged in USD or INR?
The actual charge is processed in INR, the puja's home currency. The USD amounts shown on our pujas pages are an approximate guide only, so your card or bank will convert the INR charge to USD at its own exchange rate, the final amount on your statement may differ slightly from our estimate.
What time will my puja actually happen for me?
We offer weekday evening and weekend morning slots across ET, CT, MT and PT, timed to line up with the temple's own ritual hours in India. You'll pick your time zone at booking and we'll confirm the exact local time, accounting for daylight saving on both sides.
Will the puja be understandable if my kids don't speak Hindi?
Yes. Your coordinator communicates with you in English throughout booking, and pandits narrate the ritual's meaning in Hindi and English on the call, so second-generation family members can follow along.
Can I do Shraadh or Pind Daan for my ancestors from the USA?
Yes. A Vedic priest performs Shraadh, Pind Daan or Tarpan on the ghats of Gaya or Ujjain while you watch live from the USA. Pitru Paksha 2026 runs from 27 September to 10 October, and your coordinator confirms the correct tithi and a slot that suits your US time zone.
See your name chanted, live, at the actual temple.
No splicing. No studios. Book on WhatsApp in under 2 minutes: a real pandit confirms your slot personally.
