Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of devpravas.in and the booking of any puja, ritual, or related service through DevPravas ("we", "us", "our"). By booking a puja, making a payment, or otherwise using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Description of Service

DevPravas is a booking and coordination platform that connects devotees with independent, verified pandits. Pujas booked through DevPravas are performed by these pandits, either live at a physical temple or ghat location (which you can watch by video call) or guided remotely for rituals performed at your own home. DevPravas is not itself a religious institution or a temple, and pandits perform pujas as independent professionals rather than as employees of DevPravas. Our role is to help you find, book, confirm, and pay for the puja, and to coordinate the live streaming, name/gotra approval, and prasad delivery around it.

2. Booking and Confirmation

• Every booking request is subject to the availability of the pandit, the temple, or the ghat on your requested date and time. Submitting a booking request or making a payment does not by itself guarantee a specific slot until it has been confirmed.
• Before your booking is finally confirmed, we will send you a voice note of the pandit reading your name and gotra aloud, and you must review and approve it (or request a correction). A booking is treated as confirmed only once you have approved this pronunciation and any applicable payment has been received.
• If your requested slot is unavailable, we will offer you the nearest available alternative date, time, or pandit before proceeding.

3. Pricing and Payment

• DevPravas is pay-per-puja. You are charged the price listed for the specific puja at the time you book it, as shown on our Pricing page or shared with you directly.
• Payment may be made through a payment link shared with you over WhatsApp, or through any other payment method we list at the time of booking.
• Prices may vary by puja, temple, pandit, and any optional add-ons (such as prasad shipping), and may change over time. The price applicable to your booking is the one confirmed to you at the time you book, not any price shown before or after.
• Your booking is confirmed only once payment has been successfully received and your name/gotra pronunciation has been approved as described in Section 2.
• Prasad delivery is offered on a best-effort basis and depends on your location; it is not guaranteed for every address, particularly for international or remote locations, and where applicable is charged separately from the puja price.
• Live Stream and Conference Call packages depend on factors outside our control, such as temple or ghat connectivity, network availability, or venue permissions. If a Live Stream or Conference Call cannot be arranged for your booking, DevPravas may perform and deliver it as a Basic package instead, and will inform you of this as soon as reasonably possible.

4. Festival Care Annual Plan

Festival Care is an optional annual plan under which you are charged once per year to receive a defined set of pujas or festival-related services over the course of that year, as described to you at the time of enrolment. The following terms apply specifically to Festival Care:

• Festival Care involves a single charge per year, not a recurring monthly subscription. It will not renew automatically into a new year unless you choose to re-enrol.
• You may cancel your Festival Care plan at any time. Cancellation stops any future renewal, but does not by itself entitle you to a refund of the current year's charge, please see our Refund Policy for how refunds are handled for plans and individual bookings.
• The specific pujas, dates, and inclusions available under Festival Care are subject to the availability of pandits and temples, in the same way as any individual booking.

5. Your Responsibilities

• You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information when booking, including your name, gotra, address, and contact details. Pujas are performed based on the information you provide, and DevPravas is not responsible for errors in the puja resulting from incorrect information you supplied.
• You are responsible for reviewing and approving the name/gotra pronunciation voice note before your booking is finally confirmed. If you do not review it, or you approve it without noticing an error, we may not be able to correct the sankalp after the puja has been performed.
• You are responsible for being reachable over WhatsApp, phone, or email at the contact details you provided, so that we can share confirmations, the pronunciation clip, live puja links, and any updates about your booking.
• You agree to use devpravas.in and our booking process honestly and in good faith, as described further in Section 7.

6. Service Limitations

Pujas booked through DevPravas depend on factors outside our direct control, including temple schedules and access, priest availability, weather, and internet or network connectivity at the temple, ghat, or your own location. We will make reasonable efforts to perform, reschedule, or otherwise remedy any puja affected by these factors, consistent with the Trust Guarantee described on our Our Promise page. However, we cannot guarantee that every puja will proceed exactly as originally scheduled, and we are not responsible for delays or disruptions caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

7. Prohibited Use

When using devpravas.in, you agree not to:

• Make fraudulent bookings, including using false identity, payment, or contact details, or attempting to obtain a puja or refund through deception.
• Abuse, harass, or threaten our pandits, coordinators, or support staff, whether during a live puja, over WhatsApp or phone, or through any other channel.
• Use the website or our booking process for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that could damage, disable, or impair devpravas.in or interfere with any other person's use of it.

We may refuse, cancel, or suspend a booking or access to our services where we reasonably believe this section has been violated.

8. Refunds

Refunds, rescheduling, and the Trust Guarantee are handled as described in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on devpravas.in, including text, graphics, logos, images, and the overall design of the website, belongs to DevPravas or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may view and use this content for your personal, non-commercial use in connection with booking a puja, but you may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from it without our prior written permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

• We make reasonable efforts to ensure every puja is performed as booked, live-streamed where applicable, and coordinated smoothly, but our services are provided on a reasonable-efforts basis rather than as an absolute guarantee of outcome.
• To the fullest extent permitted by law, DevPravas is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services, including loss of time, emotional distress, or any outcome you attribute to the puja itself.
• Where DevPravas is found liable to you in connection with a specific booking, our total liability for that booking is limited to the amount you actually paid for it.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of devpravas.in will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India, regardless of the country you are booking from.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date below and, where appropriate, notify you through the website or by email. Continuing to use devpravas.in or booking a puja after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
