- 1
Book your package: a single evening, three evenings, or the full nine nights
- 2
We send a day-by-day calendar covering each form of the Goddess and the day's colour
- 3
On night one, the priest guides kalash sthapana and the opening sankalp
- 4
Each evening, the priest joins live to lead that day's aarti and mantras
- 5
On the final night (Navami), a closing aarti and kanya pujan guidance is shared
Dress Code
- Navratri follows a nine-colour tradition; we share the correct colour for each day in your calendar
- Traditional wear such as chaniya choli, kurta or saree is customary, especially if you'll also be doing garba afterward
- Comfortable, modest clothing that allows movement is practical if dancing follows the puja
- Avoid leather footwear or accessories near the puja area during the aarti
Rules & Guidelines
Before the Puja
- Set up the kalash and Goddess idol/photo using the guidance sent after booking
- Bathe and dress in the day's designated colour before the priest joins
- Many families observe a nine-day vrat (fasting) during Navratri; confirm your household's approach in advance
- Keep the diya, incense and offerings for the day ready near your camera
During the Puja
- Follow the priest's lead for each evening's mantras and aarti
- Keep the household gathered and attentive during the aarti, especially with children
- Avoid interrupting the live session with unrelated calls or conversation
- If observing a fast, keep water and light refreshments nearby as needed after the aarti
After the Puja
- Distribute prasad to family members each evening after the aarti
- On Navami, perform kanya pujan (honouring young girls) as guided, if your family follows this tradition
- Continue the daily colour and aarti rhythm through all nine nights for the full benefit
- Keep the puja calendar for reference in future years
